Pepper Jelly Burgers

These Pepper Jelly Burgers are perfect for a weeknight because they deliver huge flavor with almost no fuss. They feel fun and gourmet without demanding extra time in the kitchen, which is exactly what a busy evening needs.
Total Time 30 minutes
Servings: 8
Course: Main Course
Cuisine: American

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 oz tub whipped cream cheese
  • 5-10 oz jar pepper jelly of choice
  • buns of choice
  • optional toppings: cooked bacon slices or candied jalapenos

Method

  1. Begin by making the burger patties. Preheat your grill to 350-400 degrees. Mix the ground beef, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper to combine well. Form into 8 patties. Grill 3-5 minutes per side, to desired doneness.
  2. For better grilling, make the center of the patty thinner when forming, so that it evens out while cooking.
  3. To assemble- place cooked patty on the bun, top with cream cheese and pepper jelly (amount of your liking), and bacon/jalapenos if desired. Serve with fries and/or salad.

Notes

Home made or farmer's market pepper jelly is chef's kiss, but there are some really great store brands too (like Tabasco Classic Pepper Jelly).  We love finding different varieties, like blueberry or cherry pepper jelly to try out!
