Ingredients
Method
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil, salt generously, and cook pasta according to package directions. When tender or cooked to desired doneness, drain and return to pot.
- While the pasta is boiling, begin on the shrimp and sauce. In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter and olive oil together. Add in the grated garlic and stir around skillet for about a minute, careful not to burn it. Add in the shrimp, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Cook the shrimp for about 5 minutes, stirring and until just pink. Do not overcook the shrimp. Once pink, remove skillet from the heat and stir in lemon zest, juice, parsley, and if using, red pepper flakes.
- Pour this entire shrimp and sauce mixture over the drained pasta and toss well to combine and coat the pasta. Optional- top with Parmesan cheese. Serve with salad and garlic bread.
