- Begin by making patties- in a bowl, mix ground beef, eggs, Worcestershire, salt, and pepper until well combined. Form into 6-8 evenly sized patties.
- Either in a cast iron skillet or on a griddle, drizzle some avocado oil (or other high temp oil), and cook onions and mushrooms until onions are soft and mushrooms are browned. Remove from skillet and set aside on a plate (or push to cool side of griddle).
- Next, cook the patties in same skillet/griddle as the onions and mushrooms. Once cooked to desired doneness, make a mound of onions and mushrooms on each patty, and top that with a slice of Swiss cheese (or your preferred cheese). Allow cheese to get melty, then remove from heat.
- Plate up and serve with optional sides- our preference is a Caesar salad and crispy french fries.
If making french fries, go ahead and put them in the airfryer or oven now.
If you have someone that doesn't love Swiss cheese, sub in Muenster or something they love. And you can easily leave onions or mushrooms off for picky eaters!
