Mexican Rice

This easy Mexican Rice recipe is foolproof and flavorful—just stir, simmer, and let it steam.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups of instant rice
  • 8 oz can tomato sauce
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 tsp cumin
  • 2 tsp chile powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp tumeric
  • salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Stir the water, tomato sauce, and seasonings together in a saucepan. Bring to a boil. Stir in the 2 cups of rice. Put a lid on the pot and turn off the heat. Allow to stand for 10-15 minutes. Remove lid and fluff with a fork.
