Method
- Brown beef and sausage together, breaking them apart well as they cook.
- Add in chopped vegetables and cook until they begin to soften.
- Season with salt, pepper, cumin, and chili powder.
- Add in tomatoes, beans, chili mix, and water and stir everything to combine well.
- Bring to a simmer and place lid on pot.
- Keep at a low simmer for at least 10 minutes, and up to an hour.
Notes
Top with cheese and sour cream and serve with cornbread or corn chips on the side.
