Ingredients
  

  • 3 cups instant rice
  • 1-2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 2-3 ribs of celery, diced
  • 2-3 cloves garlic, grate (or 1 tsp granulated garlic)
  • 1/2 cup broth (chicken or beef)
  • 1 tbsp Tony Chachere's seasoning (or creole seasoning of your choice) to taste

Method
 

  1. Cook the rice according to package instructions *Preferred method: In a pot, bring 3 cups water to a boil, stir in 3 cups instant rice, and cover with a lid. Turn off heat and allow to stand for 10-15 minutes.*
  2. While the rice steams, brown the ground beef in a large skillet, breaking it apart. When the beef is almost done, add the onion, garlic, celery, and bell pepper to the skillet. Saute until vegetables soften.
    Stir in the cooked rice, broth, and creole seasoning. Combine well.
  3. Serve with garlic toast or a side salad.
